Gall chains are used in applications where high pulling/drag forces are required at low circumferential speeds up to a maximum of 0.3 m/s. These chains can be found e.g. on water works or in the metallurgical industry.
Bush chains are similar in design to roller chains. Only they do not have a roller and the bushes are secured with flats against rotation.
