The difference between the ANSI HEAVY roller chains and the standard ANSI chains consists in the application of thicker plates corresponding to the next larger size of ANSI roller chains. Therefore, the HEAVY chains may guarantee chain resistance to shock loads that is higher by about 10 per cent. At the same time, it is necessary to note that the chain breaking load is the same as that of the standard ANSI roller chains, therefore the use of these chains is recommended for higher shock loads but for low operating speeds!
Breaking load of the ANSI SUPER and ANSI SUPER HEAVY chains is approximately 25 to 40 per cent higher than that of the standard ANSI and ANSI HEAVY roller chains. This is achieved both through the narrowed production tolerances of the individual components, through the use of special materials and, in particular, through heat treatment.
Although these chains feature high breaking load, we also have to emphasize that this criterion is not always a full guarantee of the top product. While breaking load is important for the maximum chain pulling, it is unfortunately not indicative of the dynamic chain resistance and therefore of its service life.
We wish to emphasize that our design, heat treatment and precision of the individual components as well as the optimized sizes of such chains guarantee a much longer service life of the chains at the required operating loads.
Notice: Only the ANSI SUPER roller chains are interchangeable with the standard ANSI and ANSI HEAVY roller chains!
